Google is set to introduce new artificial intelligence features, updates to its Pixel devices, and enhancements to the Android platform at a special event on August 13, according to invitations shared by the Verge and tech commentator Marques Brownlee.
The event, scheduled to take place at Google’s Mountain View headquarters, will feature a keynote presentation beginning at 10 a.m. PT (5 p.m. GMT), followed by a “hands-on product experience.”
Google, a unit of Alphabet Inc., typically reveals new Pixel smartphones and watches in the fall. The company’s decision to hold an event in August suggests an early glimpse at its upcoming technology.
Earlier this month, Apple announced a series of new features based on generative AI for its iPhones, indicating a competitive landscape in the tech industry.
